The
London Borough of Lewisham stretches from the Thames and the
City in the north to Bromley in the South and has seen considerable
development in the last few years.

Deptford is well served by the Docklands Light Railway and has
been home to an exciting new development by St
James Homes, One SE8,
which features an element of car-free housing and an on-site
car club provided by Urbigo.

The development is situated next to DLR in easy reach of Deptford
Bridge Station and has a dedicated car club with reserved parking
spaces on-site.
More carfree and low car developments are expected in Lewisham following the Council's commitment in their recent Local Implementation Plan;
'To ensure the effective operation and control of such car-reduced schemes and to prevent overspill parking into surrounding roads, the Council's approach will be to prevent future residents of the proposed buildings from qualifying for on-street parking permits for adjacent Controlled Parking Zones. Developers of such schemes in town centres or other locations within controlled parking zones with a high public transport accessibility (TfL PTAL levels of 5 to 6) will be required to enter into a Section 106 Agreement tied to the relevant planning permission to achieve this outcome.'
